Celestron Nexstar 6SE Basic Bundle

This economical package includes the Nexstar 6SE telescope, an eyepiece and filter kit, 7 Ah Power Tank and a red LED night vision flashlight. Basically it includes most everything you need to start enjoying this telescope. We refer to it an an economical package due to the inclusion of the Celestron #94303 eyepiece and filter kit, which includes basic Plossl eyepieces. Our Advanced bundle substitutes Celestron X-Cel LX eyepieces, which offer a wider field of view and more comfortable eye relief than the Plossl eyepieces in this bundle. The basic bundle is a great way to get started if this is your first telescope and do not yet really know what you might enjoy looking at. It is far better to know what you want to see before investing in premium eyepieces which will cost more individually than this entire eyepiece kit.

The Celestron NexStar 6SE more than a beginner's telescope; this is a serious telescope that will take you beyond the moon and planets, revealing hundreds of star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. The total weight of 30 lbs makes it highly portable for it's size. What's more, Celestron's revolutionary SkyAlign alignment software is arguably one of the fastest, easiest and most accurate go-to alignment procedures available today.

Celestron NexStar 6SE: One of our most popular Go To telescopes under $1000

The NexStar 6SE combines the NexStar computerized operating system with enough telescope aperture to truly enjoy many of the deep space objects within its catalog. We often advise first time telescope buyers that six inches of aperture is where the realm of deep space objects becomes truly interesting. The NexStar 6SE will easily resolve globular clusters and treat you to dozens upon dozens of the brighter galaxies and nebulae.

With the NexStar 6SE, you are in the driver's seat. Simply choose an object from the menu and the telescope will find it for you. Using the patented NexStar technology, NexStar SE telescopes have the ability to locate nearly 40,000 objects. All you have to do is look through the eyepiece and enjoy the view!

Perhaps you are new to the hobby and don't know what object to choose. Don't worry - let the intelligent NexStar SE give you a guided tour of the night sky. The "Tour" feature offers a customized list of the best objects in the sky to view for your exact time and location anywhere in the world! Not only can your NexStar SE find objects, it can teach you about them as well. Information on the most popular objects can be viewed on the LCD screen of the included computer keypad. (Note: Celestron uses the term "hand control" to describe this computer keypad.)

Whether you are a seasoned astronomer looking for a portable scope with advanced features, or just starting your astronomy adventure and looking for an easy way to enjoy the night sky, a NexStar SE will help you take a closer look.

Celestron's Revolutionary SkyAlign
