|Used early model 14" Meade LX200 GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope in excellent condition, local sale only. This telescope is from an estate sale. The original owner purchased it without realizing how large and heavy it was. Judging by its condition, it may not have been used more than once or twice. The protective cover is still on the Autostar II controller. |
This is an early model LX200 GPS. This means it has standard SCT optics as opposed to the newer ACF optics. The GPS receiver is what is known as the "macaroni noodle" style as opposed to the newer flat top style. The optical tube features the classic shiny dark blue pain scheme and not the current crinkle finish paint. It is not equipped with the zero image shift microfocuser, which had not been released when this item was made. It does include a Meade 2-inch star diagonal, which is appropriate for a telescope this large.
